We had a quick stop in Kusadasi while on our cruise, so booked a private tour of Ephesus--it was brilliant! We all loved it! The ruins are so much bigger than I expected: absolutely gorgeous. Our tour guide Zeynep was wonderful. She met us at our boat; was incredibly knowledgable and personable; and tailored the tour to suit our interests, speed, and needs. She is an animal lover (we are too), so when she realized this she introduced us to some of the local residents ;) We finished our tour a little early (we're speedy walkers), so she took us to a local weaving education studio as a bonus! Our guide Hakan was extremely interesting and the knowledge he shared with us has left a lasting impression.

I am very impressed by the Turkish governments investment in the restoration of Ephesus. By contrast, we drove across the Peloponnese in Greece to visit Olympia, only to find the exact opposite of restoration.

At the end of our tour, which incidentally, ran about an extra hour at no further charge, Hakan walked us through the backstreets of Kusadasi to take us to an authentic restaurant that the Turks eat at. Another great experience - thank you Hakan.

Travelling by cruise ship, we opted to take Kusadasi Private Ephesus Tour over the ship organised tour. So glad we did. One on one interaction with our guide was fantastic.

This feedback is for Isik our tour guide from Private Ephesus Tours. We were a big group of 25 people with kids and had hired the company in advance all the way from Toronto. Not only was our tour guide there to receive us, she was extremely warm and friendly and well prepared to help us make the most of our day trip. She presented us the list of options and guided us on the best way to see all the places we had on our list. She was extremely knowledgeable and very well-spoken. She showed us around the places, provided historical background or references and then gave us some private time to go about as well. Had we not had any reference to the ruins we saw it would not have been much of a trip. Also, we got to see how carpets are made in turkey, try Turkish tea and coffee and have a really great day with our families....so thank you Isik.

We had a limited amount of time as we were on a cruise. Our tour guide ENDER met us at the port and from the moment he greeted us the adventure began! We visited the House of Mary, Ephesus, Artemis Tour, had an authentic lunch and watched some carpet weaving!

What made this day great was our guide Ender. He did an amazing job of talking us through the sites, the culture, the significance and answering every and any question we could throw at him. He was engaging, informed, pleasant and made our time in Turkey by far our favorite day of a two day trip!

This tour was great, and it goes without saying that the sites we visited speak for themselves. They were enriched by the excellent stories, anecdotes and direction on where to look and nuances the average visitor would miss without an expert guide. And when I say expert I mean it - our guide is a licensed, educated guide - with degrees from the university and a professor.

When we said we were ready to stop for lunch, he took us to a great spot (recommended by travel guru Rick Steves) where we had an authentic meal, several courses, with beer and wine - and even got our buy-in before we stopped making sure he was giving us what we were looking for.

We can not say enough positive things about our trip and our guide. We had the most amazing day! There was a group of 12 of us and she handled us with such class and what a wealth of information! Elif was informative and took her time to educate us about all the history! She even recommended a nice place for us to have and early dinner. Book this company! You wont be sorry.

We spent a fabulous day in Kusadasi/Ephesus with Nazim as our guide. He took us to a leather factory that did a private fashion show for us and yes, we did buy. The quality was fabulous. he also took us to a pottery place and we watched how they made it from start to finish and one of our group had a chance to have a go too. Very funny. Ephesus didn't disappoint us either, and Nazim was always on hand with any answers to our questions. His English is excellent and he has a great sense of humour. Would recommend this company to anyone thinking of going to Kusadasi

Tour was very well organized and on time. This was a private tour that we organized ourselves, rather than having the cruise ship do it. Nazim was extremely knowledgable and courteous. Not in a hurry either. Very interesting details and provided information that would be hard to obtain in a large group. We also had great lunch, of representative Turkish food, and stopped at an excellent Turkish rug manufacturing facility and a pottery facility. No hard sell. Fantastic rugs and a great deal. We even bought another rug when they delivered ours, about 6 weeks later. We would definitely visit Turkey again!

We were a group of 9 women arriving by cruise ship and our tour was prearranged online.We were met by our tour guide Hakan and driver right on time and off we went for an amazing half day tour of Ephesus. He was so knowledgeable and this was one of our favourite tours. We visited the House of Virgin Mary, where we were very fortunate not to be rushed through. It was early and not too many tourists there.Such a spiritual place and a highlight of the day for me. We then toured Ephesus, and words cannot describe how beautiful and well preserved it was. We toured the Terraced Houses being reconstructed in such minute details. Friends who have been to Pompeii felt this site showed so much more.We are not usually ones for rug presentations or pottery, but with time left we went. One of us purchased a beautiful rug and also some pottery!!!!!! Hakan was a great sport and lots of fun...we couldn't have asked for better. Thank you for such a memorable day.We loved Turkey and hope to return one day.

Our cruise stopped at Kusadasi for one day and rather than go with the cruise excursion, we opted to go with a private tour company. After looking at the reviews, we booked a tour through these guys and it was excellent!

When we got off the ship, our guide, Azer, met us with a large 15 passenger van and driver even though there was only 3 of us (myself, wife and 2 year old son). They were able to provide us with a car seat for my son as well. We visited the house of Mary, Ephesus, the temple of Artemis. (This was all we could handle with a 2 year old, but you can always discuss the itinerary with your guide.) She was very knowledgable and was very accommodating since we had a 2 year old toddler with us. She went above and beyond and even tried to keep his attention when he got restless!

They arranged a lunch for us at a very, very reasonable price, and the food was delicious!

If you are ever in Kusadasi, this is the company to use!

I originally booked a mini bus with Elif, hoping to fill it with fellow cruises. I ended up booking several buses. Elif responded to every email quickly. He gave suggestions and gave us a very good price. On the day he met me as planned and quickly organised everyone into the wonderful 14 seater coaches. Our guide, Hasan, was a wealth if information and a lovely man. It was certainly the highlight of our cruise. For days after people who had been on one of the buses I organised came up thanking me and commenting that it was for them the highlight of their cruise also. Everyone had wonderful things to say about their guide. I cannot praise Kusadasi Private Ephesus Tours enough.
